Carbon 60 is the nearly spherical football-shaped molecule consisting of 60 carbon atoms. It is also known as the Buckyball and is the most stable example of the fullerenes. This fun activity illustrates the shape, structure and properties of the Carbon 60 fullerene. Students learn as they follow the building instructions. Coloured bonds in the Colourwave series distinguish between covalent, ionic, Van der Waals and hydrogen bonding making excellent teaching and display models. Shape: sphere Height: 15 cm 60 carbon atoms
